Takadar verifies online payments before issuing a numbered receipt and takes no cut of your institution’s fees; parents paying online see any processing charge, and in Nigeria a small published Takadar fee, before they pay.

The card or bank processing charge is passed through at cost. Your school decides who pays: it can cover everything, pass both on, or cover the processing charge and leave parents only this fee. No Takadar fee in a new school’s first term; cash and bank transfers your bursar records are free.

How is Takadar priced?
Per student, per month. You are billed for students who are actively enrolled that month, so a school that shrinks pays less the following month without renegotiating anything.
Do we still pay during the holidays?
Yes - it is a twelve-month subscription, and the platform does not stop working when the term does. Results processing, transcripts, next-term admissions, fee arrears and your full student record stay live through the break. Paying twelve months up front takes 15% off the published rate, which we confirm in writing before your first invoice.
What does that come to per year?
Multiply the monthly rate by 12. Standard at ₦400 per student per month is ₦4,800 per student per year, and the estimate below shows the full figure for your enrolment. Competitors often quote per term, so compare on the annual number.
Do universities and polytechnics pay the same rate as schools?
No. Universities, polytechnics and colleges have their own plans, from ₦300 per student per month on Core to ₦700 on Complete, because they run admissions, course registration, result approval and transcripts on top of everything a school does. Their volume bands start at 1,000 students and reach 45% off from 20,000 students, and the minimum is ₦27,000 per month. An estimate. We confirm your rate in writing before your first invoice.
Do I pay for students who leave mid-year?
No. Billing counts actively enrolled students each month. Students who graduate or transfer drop off the next invoice automatically.
Is there a minimum charge?
Our published minimum is ₦18,000 per month. Below roughly 90 students the per-student rate does not cover onboarding and support, so very small schools are quoted the minimum instead. An estimate. We confirm your rate in writing before your first invoice.
What happens when my school grows?

Are SMS messages included?
Parents use the parent portal to see fees, attendance and results. SMS is on the roadmap and is not live yet.

What does paying online cost parents?
In Nigeria, Takadar’s fee is ₦50 under ₦20,000, ₦100 under ₦50,000, ₦200 under ₦100,000, ₦300 under ₦200,000 and ₦500 from ₦200,000 per payment, plus the card or bank processing charge if your school passes it on. Parents see both before they pay, and a new school’s first term has no Takadar fee. Cash and bank transfers your bursar records are free.
