Do universities and polytechnics use the same product as schools?
Yes, on the same records engine, but higher education brings its own workflow: programmes and levels, credit units, course registration with prerequisites, result approval from department to faculty to senate, transcripts and degree classification. Plans and volume bands are priced separately.
How is a large institution billed?
Per active student per month, with published volume bands: the rate falls as enrolment grows, down 45% from 20,000 students, with a ₦27,000 monthly minimum. We confirm your rate in writing before your first invoice. An estimate. We confirm your rate in writing before your first invoice.
Can results be published only after approval?
Yes. Results move through the stages your institution defines - department, faculty and senate - and each stage is a separate permission, so nobody approves their own result.
Can we move from our current registry system?
Student and staff lists can be imported by CSV with a row-by-row preview before anything is committed. Programmes, opening balances and past results need assisted setup for now. Write to hello@takadar.com with what you have, and we will confirm the migration plan. Your records are yours. Export your students, fees and payment history whenever you want them, on any plan.
Do hostels, transport and multiple campuses work?
Yes. Hostel and transport are add-ons with rooms, allocations, routes and trip attendance, and group leadership can see enrolment, collections and outstanding balances across campuses.
Can students and parents see results and fees?
Students see their own record, results, registration and balance; parents or guardians see only their own child. SMS is on the roadmap and is not live yet, so the portal is where updates appear.
